NorComp AS main business is to deliver Competence Assurance Management Systems and Learning Management Systems.

Our Company emphasise on Mapping, Managing, Assessing and Evaluating Competence Assurance at all levels at all kind of industry and institutions. We see vocational qualifications from a whole new angle, where assuring competency within the various professions and work situations get an entirely different understanding; besides academic background, such as education, courses and professional training, we focus on performance, knowledge, understanding and awareness and certify each individual within their level of competency.

Competence assurance, awareness and risk control are three crucial factors to be able to create focus on safety for every single task to be performed.

Risk management has been, and is one of the main focus in the industry. It is therefore crucial to assess and get confirmation of the competency and expertise of each individual operator/employee, this is only possible if we have created awareness, put focus on and ensured safety every step of the way.

Risk assessment is not enough unless criteria and conditions are appropriate for each individual to handle the tasks correctly and safely. Assessing the individual in their work role will also reveal; lack of knowledge or competence, need for training, misinterpretation of procedures, orders or requests (even lack of them), communication failure and incorrect evaluation of potentially dangerous or critical conditions - these being important underlying criteria for dangerous situations and accidents.
